Hej there. My name is Mathilde. I am the voice behind this blog. I find it a bit awkward to just blab on about myself, but I love reading ‘about me’ posts, and find them very useful, so I’ll give it a go. Looks like I already gave you one fact about myself. That wasn’t too difficult, was it?

Here I am, doing one of my favourite things!
I am a 15 year old girl. I live with my parents, sister, and dog in Denmark. Most of the time you can find me in school or in my room, reading, drawing, journaling or wasting time watching youtube videos.
Now, get ready for me to go out on a bit of a tangent:
The summer of my 12th birthday my family and I packed our bags and hopped on a plane to New Zealand (okay, that makes it sound way more spontaneous than it was).
That year was the year where I tasted Vegemite for the first time, swam in hot springs in Rotorua and saw Glowworms deep inside the Waitomo Caves. It is a year I will always remember fondly. Of course, I often felt sad and confused and friendless. But I experienced more in that one year than most people get to in their whole life. And for that, I will be ever grateful.
I would very much like to have a year like that again. A year of discovering things about the world and myself, that I had never even thought of before. That is why, when I discovered the world of exchange, I knew I had to go. Luckily, I was accepted into the Rotary youth exchange program. I will in the summer of 2020 be going to the USA, where I will be staying for ten months. I can’t wait!!
Thank you so much for stopping by. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.
As always, stay as happy as can be.
